The Topcon AT-B3 is our favourite of the Topcon AT-B Range. Topcon describe it as the versatile model of the new Topcon AT-B Series, and we would have to agree. The Topcon AT-B3 is suitable for everything, Surveying, Engineering and Construction Sites whilst being excellent value.
The compensator of AT-B series incorporates four suspension wires made of super-high-tensile metal that features minimal thermal expansion coefficient, providing unmatched durability and accuracy even in the harshest environmental conditions. We have been using the Topcon AT-B3 for the last year and we have never needed to adjust it. And with the magnetic damping system the Topcon AT-B3 is quick to level and stabilise the line of sight despite the vibrations produced from working plant on construction sites.
The E-grad staff is easy to read over the distances that should be levelled thanks to the 28x magnification. The Accuracy over a 1km double run levelling route is just 1.5mm.
The Topcon AT-B3 weighs in at 1.7kg which is heavier than its rivals, but then it also feels sturdier.
